What it means to be an offshore graduate surveyor:

As an Offshore Graduate Surveyor at UTEC, you will have a unique opportunity to develop in an exciting and challenging role within offshore surveying. You will work closely with experienced surveyors and engineers to support various offshore activities and learn by being part of the team onboard. You’ll be part of our Graduate program, and normally the first 4-6 weeks of training will be held at our offices in Aberdeen.

This position will give you:
•hands-on experience in sensor deployment, data collection, and system calibration.
•the possibility to learn to use different surveying tools and software.

And you’ll get knowledge and experience in:
•Data Processing, when participating in the processing of survey data to understand how it is used in project planning and execution.
•Quality Control, when contributing to data accuracy through quality checks and equipment maintenance.
•Reporting, when assisting in the preparation of survey reports and documentation in collaboration with experienced colleagues.

Qualifications you need to thrive in this position:
•Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, or related fields.
•Strong interest in surveying and offshore operations.
•Analytical skills and a quick learning ability.
•Communication skills and a willingness to collaborate.
•Willingness to work offshore.
•Adaptability and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications (not required) that’ll give you a head start:
•Relevant internship or work experience in offshore surveying.
•Basic understanding of offshore safety protocols.
•Certifications in offshore safety training (e.g., BOSIET).
•Knowledge of marine navigation systems.
•Familiarity with AutoCAD or GIS software.
